World Book Day is celebrated by UNESCO every year on April 23. Books are our best friends, guides, and philosophers. This day is dedicated to books. Books not only show us the path of knowledge by becoming our guide but also play along by becoming a friend in loneliness. One of the reasons for celebrating this day is to promote the habit of reading books in people. Generally, it is also celebrated to encourage writers, painters, etc. April 23 is a symbolic date for world literature because Cervantes, Shakespeare, and the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died on this date in 1616.
